Billabong Zoo is delighted to welcome you back!

We are looking forward to welcoming you to our zoo to experience a wonderful day out connecting with our wonderful wildlife. In line with government regulations, we have made a few changes to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable day out.  We are proudly COVID safe.

As per the current NSW Health orders, Billabong Zoo will only be open to visitors who are *fully vaccinated. Please follow our staff requests upon arrival and treat our team and fellow visitors with respect.

*This includes any visitor who is aged 16 years and over. If you have a medical exemption please provide proof to staff upon arrival. All children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult.

We look forward to welcome all visitors again from December 1 when the NSW Health order has lifted on vaccination status.


All visitors and staff must wear a mask indoors; this includes our zoo entrance, gift shop, cafe and enclosed animal exhibits. Out in the zoo masks are not required. Thank you for understanding and helping keep yourself and our staff safe.

If you have any cold or flu-like symptoms, a fever or have been asked to self-isolate; please do not visit our zoo until you have received clearance by a medical professional.

Ticket Sales

We would recommend that you buy your tickets online prior to arrival, however, you can still buy your tickets at our front desk. Due to government rules and regulations, we are required to ask you to provide your name and contact phone number on entry to the zoo.

No Capacity Limitations

As we are an open-air facility, there are no capacity limitations. However, all patrons must comply to COVID-19 restrictions that will be explained on entry to the zoo.

Around the Zoo

Please follow instructions and signage to help you comply with the 1.5 metres physical distancing measures in place.

For your safety we have set up sanitising stations around our zoo as well as the usual hand washing facilities available.

In restricted areas, numbers will be minimised.

Meet the keeper

For your enjoyment, we have Zoo Keeper presentation videos available via QR codes at some of our exhibits. Our Zoo Keepers around the zoo are happy to help with impromptu questions about our wonderful wildlife throughout the day.  Please note that our usual group presentations are currently unavailable.

Personal Animal Encounters

Please note that bookings are essential on all our personal animal encounters.

The Meeting Point Cafe

Our Café is open from 9am to 2.30pm with a delicious new menu available for you to choose from. Take-away is also available. We are complying with all COVID-19 restrictions.
